System Restore helps revert Windows system files, drivers, and settings to a previous working state without affecting personal files.
Steps & Overview:
- Open System Properties (Control Panel or search “System Restore”).
- Click System Restore under the System Protection tab.
- Choose a restore point created automatically or manually.
- Review affected programs and confirm the restore.
- Windows restarts and applies the selected restore point.
- Use this option to recover from recent system changes or updates causing issues.
Recovery Options provide tools to repair, reset, or reinstall Windows when the system fails to boot or function properly.

- Access Advanced Startup from Settings, boot interruption, or recovery media.
- Select Troubleshoot to view recovery tools.
- Use Startup Repair to fix boot-related problems.
- Open Command Prompt for advanced manual repairs.
- Choose Reset this PC to reinstall Windows (with or without keeping files).
- Use System Image Recovery to restore a full system backup if available.
